Well, spring has sprung, at least for me. I’m am constantly looking for fun/silly activities that my learners will love that can be done completely indoors. That’s when I stumbled upon this chicken hat project. It’s fairly simple, it requires minimal supplies, and my kids have enjoyed wearing these around the house! Check it out:

Instructions:
Fold the white construction paper into thirds as shown.
Cut the white paper along the fold lines.
Tape/glue two of the white strips together.
Draw a circle on another sheet of white construction paper and cut out.
Tape/glue the circle onto the attached white strips in the middle.
Cut a square out of the yellow construction paper and fold in half.
Tape/glue two sides to the white circle as shown.
Draw the chicken’s red comb on the red construction paper and cut out.
Tape/glue to the top of the white circle.
Draw eyes.
Secure the white strips around child’s head with tape/glue.
Enjoy the results!
